Okay, I posted this at my
LJ too.
The following made me squee...
So sayth RTD: "The story for Martha is unrequited love. And actually I think far more people in life feel like Martha then they feel like Rose. Rose met the most fantastic man in the universe who actually thought that she was the most fantastic woman in the universe, and that doesn't really happen often."
And DT: "You've got this slight conflict...the Doctor sees her as one thing, and Martha is...wants to be another. You know, if you like, the Doctor's looking for an acquaintance and Martha's looking for a boyfriend, to put it in very 21st century human terms.
And RTD again: "I think we're all Martha at the end of the day in wanting people who don't know you exist."
Well, Martha, I can't fault you for falling for the Doctor. There are plenty of others who'd feel the same way...but having RTD and DT acknowledging that the Doctor does not feel the same about her, and that he was in love with Rose, this makes me thrilled. Dear Doctor, you may have a new friend, and we'll love her...as we wait for Rose to come back. *grin*
